Top Tip: How to Visualise your Dream Bathroom
We’ve created this guide to help you bring your dream bathroom vision to life, ensuring your chosen products, accessories, and colour scheme flow together seamlessly!
Planning your dream bathroom renovation is an exciting process, but it can be difficult to know where to start, and even more difficult to visualise what the end-result will look like!
We have explored technology and design ideas below which will help you to paint a clear picture of the various elements in your bathroom design, so you can ensure that it’s right for you before you make any decisions.
Mood Boards
Creating a mood board is a fun and easy way to visualise all of the elements of your bathroom design in one place. You can create as many as you like, using different colour schemes and products, to help you decide which one is right for you!
Here are a few simple steps to help you get started on your mood board:
Step 1: Choose your colour pallet. A good place to start is to think about the sorts of colours that you like and will work in your room. From warm earthy tones like cotton, latte and clay to more colourful shades of pink, green and blue right through to monochromatic colours like white, black or grey – the Bathrooms to Love range has a wide range of furniture across the colour spectrum to suit all tastes!
Step 2: Gather inspiration. Browse Instagram, Pinterest, and Google, flip through your favourite magazines online, scroll through tile and flooring websites, and keep a look out for bathroom products you like – make a collection of images that inspire you, and save these on your phone or laptop. These images could include taps, baths, tiles, wall panels, accessories, towels, toiletries and even artwork that you like!
Step 3: Create your mood board. The easiest way to create your mood board is to use platforms like Canva or PowerPoint. Starting with a blank design, you can change the background colour, add in colour swatches, wallpaper and tile cut outs, and select some of the products and accessories you have saved along the way to add to your design. Make sure to remove the product background using the tools on the platforms so you don’t have any unwanted colours or objects on your mood board!
You can also use the Wish List feature on the Bathrooms to Love website, simply add all of the products you love to your Wish List to see how they look together.
And there you have it – 3 easy ways to gather your ideas and help you narrow down your style choices. You can of course share these with your local Bathrooms to Love retailer too, so that they can give you professional advice around what will work in your space taking into consideration your plumbing set up alongside your overall style ideas!
Augmented Reality (AR)
It can be tricky to picture how a product will fit into the size, shape and vibe of your bathroom, but this is where Augmented Reality (AR) comes in!
With AR, imagination becomes reality, as you can use your phone camera to virtually place the product into your room. The AR product should automatically overlay any products you already have in your bathroom space so you can get a true feel for the size, colour and look of any items you have your eye on – it’s the best way to view our beautiful range in your bathroom!
When you see the AR icon next to a product on our website or in our brochure, you can scan the QR code with your smartphone if you’re on a computer, or click the button if you are already browsing on your smartphone, and the product will load ready for you to view in your room.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software
A growing number of our Bathrooms to Love retail partners are using CAD design systems to bring their customers bathroom design ideas to life.
Design packages provide bathroom showrooms with the ability to produce stunning photo-realistic 3D visuals of your new bathroom space, based on your exact measurements, and using products you have chosen.
As you can see from the photos here, this kind of software is fantastic at painting a clear picture of how the products and colour scheme will fit into a specific bathroom space!
